About us

My name is Carol Woolen, owner and designer of Woolen Designs.   I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a proud Texan, a Mama to 6 children and the wife of a wonderful man.  We live in the country South of Ft. Worth, Texas with our kids, dogs, chickens, and ducks. 

 I  have been a collector of rocks, minerals, gemstones and jewelry for as long as I can remember.    As a young child I have vivid memories of walking around the yards, roadsides or riverbanks looking for pretty rocks. 

These days I do my "hunting" mostly in stores, rock shops, or on the internet but I still get the same feelings when I spot "THE" one amidst many others.  It will be the one piece that I keep going back to, the one that stands out, the one that speaks to my heart.    I love to find "treasured"  pieces of jewelry every where I go.    It would be very difficult to choose only 1 favorite because each time I wear them it brings  back memories and feelings of joy.   Every piece is special to me.  

  Woolen Designs features many pieces with natural stones.   Natural stones are made by God over millions of years, so no 2 stones will ever be exactly the same.   I love the uniqueness of each piece.   

   I find inspiration everywhere but never more so than from the scriptures.  Gods word fills my heart with joy and peace.  The pieces of inspiring jewelry that I make help me to remember the scriptures with just a glance of my wrist I get a gentle reminder of my Faith.

Since I love ALL jewelry I also carry a line of retail pieces that I did not design.   These will be pieces that I have found and they spoke to my heart, as I mentioned above, jewelry speaks to me.
